  1. Cross-Country Skiing at Chapin Forest – Lake Metroparks

Over six miles of cross-country trails at Chapin Forest Reservation are groomed for skiing and there’s even a lighted section so you can ski after dark.

Cross-country skis and snowshoes are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. There are overnight rentals so you can enjoy after-dark skiing and return the skis by noon the next day.
