A Dayton-based, woman-owned startup whose disposable thermometer product swept major retail chains nationwide aims to continue its wave of success into this year.

Shelly Heller and April Pollock own Tempagenix, the company that produces Temp-N-Toss, a low cost and sustainable forehead thermometer made with liquid crystal technology. The product is easy-to-read with a temperature reading being accurate to within one degree. The product is non-invasive, travel-friendly and allows for continuous monitoring with its 48-hour medical-grade adhesive.
