Investment group takes on a new name as it expands


The region’s oldest professionally managed early-stage technology investment fund is changing its name and expanding its scope.

North Coast Ventures is the new name of the North Coast Angel Fund, a group of individual investors that formed 14 years ago to help finance high-tech startups, the organization announced at its annual meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Over that span, the group has grown to 250 members who have invested more than $60 million in 57 companies.
