Ohio program distributes funding for more than 1,000 tech classes


TechCred funding for 255 statewide employers was approved by the Ohio office of workforce transformation, according to a statement published Thursday, Feb. 27.

Those companies requested funding for a total of 1,611 technology-focused training credentials during the January TechCred application period.

The TechCred program was developed to help fund as many as 10,000 short-term technology credentials a year, with the goal of closing the skills gap for technology employment.
