Columbus-based CoverMyMeds landed the No. 16 spot on Fortune magazine’s list of “The 50 Best Workplaces for Parents”—one of just three Ohio companies (and the highest ranked) to earn the honor.
The health care technology company has an array of competitive benefits for its 1,300 employees, including medical insurance with no worker premium, paid paternity leave (12 weeks for the childbearing or adopting parent and four weeks for the non-childbearing parent) and flexible work hours.
But for Veronica Knuth, vice president of talent, there’s more to the company’s employee-centric mindset than just the benefits package. “We have benefit programs and things like that that our employees appreciate,” she says, “but it’s also about taking the extra step to make sure that each leader knows what each employee needs to make sure this is the best place both professionally and personally.”
