Cleveland Clinic establishes Center for Global and Emerging Pathogens
Cleveland Clinic is launching a center that aims to advance research on diseases including COVID-19. The Center for Global and Emerging Pathogens, which has been in the planning stages for a year and a half, looks to broaden understanding of emerging pathogens (from Zika virus to SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19) and expedite critically needed treatments and vaccines, according to a news release.
