Dayton-area research group lands $200K grant for MedTech program

Wright State Applied Research Corp.

A research group affiliated with one of the Dayton area’s largest universities will receive new grant funding from the state of Ohio.

Wright State Applied Research Corp. was awarded $200,000 for its MedTech Launch Fund. The grant was provided by the Ohio Third Frontier Commission through its Technology Validation and Start-Up Fund. This fund provides grants to Ohio institutions of higher education and other nonprofit research institutions. The funding is for testing and prototyping to demonstrate that technologies are commercially viable, with the goal of validating and licensing them to companies.
