Ohio startup commercializing Army Corps’ induction-heated asphalt patch

An upcycling materials company has finalized a license agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Thursday so it can develop a new asphalt patching technology.

The patent license transfers to Ohio-based startup necoTech the Corps’ intellectual property rights and technical knowledge on a new hot-mix asphalt patching material that allows maintenance crews to fix potholes in roads and runways faster than ever before.
