Cincinnati startup Frayt captures ever-evolving logistics market with app-based, on-demand delivery

Several years ago, Lawrence McCord found himself trying to cram rolls of carpet into the back of his Chevy Suburban. They just wouldn’t fit. While he could have used a conventional courier service, he knew he’d be at the mercy of the courier, sacrificing either time or money.

“I thought to myself, ‘There must be at least seven cargo vans sitting empty at the truck stop a mile away from me. What if we had some way of connecting people like me, who need help with a delivery, with these cargo van drivers who are available right now and want to earn more money?’”
