In my personal quest to visit all or most of our country’s 62 spectacular national parks, of which I have visited 29 to date, I thought it was high time that I revisit the one that is located closest to me in terms of geography — the one that is located in the state that I live in and love so much — that being the one and only Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Located along the banks of the Cuyahoga River and the historic Ohio & Erie Canal in the elongated and beautifully forested valley between Cleveland and Akron, CVNP was officially given national park status in the year 2000 and is Ohio’s only national park.
