Five local startups make up the third class of an accelerator program whose alumni have gone on to raise more than $3 million.
The seven-week gBETA Cincy program, which came to Cincinnati after the Brandery partnered with Wisconsin-based Gener8tor, recently kicked off its completely virtual 2020 cohort, according to a news release. Its current participants include a startup whose technology enables athletes to monetize their content for fans and student-led company that streamlines the process to buy used car parts.
More than 30 startups applied for the program, which has no fees and doesn’t require equity. The current cohort is 60% minority- or female-led, the release states.
