Dayton company harnesses technology that locates downed pilots
A Dayton company has just licensed technology that the U.S. Navy uses to help find downed pilots.
The company, outdoors goods business Airborne Outfitters signed a patent license agreement with the U.S Navy allowing it to complete development of a “polygonal asymmetric reflector” for military and non-military customers.
The local business and the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana, inked the tech transfer deal on Dec. 1, the Tech Link blog reported.
