Cleveland edges up five places in national ParkScore ranking of top 100 U.S. cities


CLEVELAND, Ohio — Despite its Forest City nickname, Cleveland may not be one of America’s greenest cities. But it is inching up measurably in a prominent national ranking of access to parks.

The nonprofit Trust for Public Land said today that Cleveland has moved from 29th to 25th place on its annual ParkScore index of America’s most populous 100 cities. The index is based on detailed geographic and social information about park amenities, investment, and access.
