Biotech firm Axogen pushes $50 million Vandalia investment

A Florida biotechnology company pursuing what leaders believe is a revolutionary advancement in human tissue and nerve repair is investing some $50 million into its Dayton-area operations.

Today, Florida-based Axogen has perhaps 65 employees at its Industrial Park Drive Vandalia location and in downtown Dayton.

That number will soon rise, Peter Mariani, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Axogen, and Todd Puckett, the company’s Dayton-area operations director, said in a recent interview. The company is looking for qualified processing technicians, manufacturing engineers, quality control specialists and more.
