Hypersonic technology startup expands to Dayton area with plans for future growth

A new startup with the mission to regain America’s military and aerospace dominance through the development of hypersonic technology has made its way to the Dayton area, and is targeting the local market for future growth.

Velontra, a Cincinnati-based company that develops hypersonic technologies and aerospace solutions, recently launched a new facility at the Warren County Airport in Lebanon. There, the startup is building and testing its technology with the goal of completing its first prototype by September. Velontra also is seeking office space closer to Dayton, where it will house engineers and technicians.

“I can’t think of a better place than the very fertile aerospace corridor of Dayton, Ohio to start our journey toward future growth,” Velontra Co-Founder and CEO Rob Keane said.
