Greater Cincinnati public company inks six-figure deal as merger looms


A Greater Cincinnati public company in the midst of a merger with a California-based competitor is selling some of its top intellectual property to the tune of nearly $500,000.

Aerpio Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ARPO), a Blue Ash-based biopharma company, entered into an asset purchase agreement earlier this month with EyePoint Pharmaceuticals, headquartered in Watertown, Mass., per a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
