Interns developed 3D virtual models of heart valves and wrote code analyzing data for business forecasts in the first year of a Rev1 Ventures program that succeeded in introducing more women and students of color to the startup world.
Rev1’s Innovation Internship placed 144 students – 71% female and/or non-white – from 17 universities with some 40 emerging Central Ohio tech companies since launching in March 2020. The program switched to remote work with intense teleconference support when the coronavirus pandemic swept into Ohio.
