Stark County startup prepares to launch “support small” hub

Though Michael Sturdivant only worked at Courtyard Canton for seven months before his job became a Covid-19 casualty, he learned something valuable during his tenure: Business travelers and tourists are always on the lookout for under-the-radar local places to explore and enjoy.

“About two months before I lost my job, I’d been discussing some ideas with [Five Arrows Technology founder] John Weston on how to better support and promote local businesses,” says Sturdivant. “Being laid off enabled me to go from idea mode into action.”
