Akron’s TinyCircuits is a huge hit on Kickstarter
Ken Burns, founder of Akron’s miniature electronics company TinyCircuits, spent a good part of Sept. 28 and 29 watching his company’s latest Kickstarter campaign … in awe.
“I couldn’t believe people were able to sign up and enter their credit card information so quickly,” a near-giddy Burns said on Wednesday, Sept. 29, as the total amount raised by the new program topped $47,000.
TinyCircuits had only launched the campaign the day before, with the goal of raising $15,000. But that happened much more quickly than Burns had even hoped and took only a few hours rather than the 30 days allocated for the effort.
