Intel semi-conductor plant will require lots of resources, but could spark high-tech industry in Ohio
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A semi-conductor production facility Intel plans to build in suburban Columbus could be described as a “factory,” but its interior would more resemble a super-clean laboratory than a gritty Rust Belt assembly line.
The Intel plant, which ultimately could be a supplier for sources throughout the Midwest, is destined for a 3,190-acre site northeast of Columbus, sources have told cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer.
