Kaufman buys Idea Foundry, folds it into Gravity

Kaufman Development is buying the Idea Foundry property and working closely with the team there to grow the creative community in Franklinton.

The Idea Foundry, at 421 W. State St., sits across the street from the second phase of Kaufman’s mixed-use Gravity project. The property, which bills itself as the world’s largest makerspace, is a 65,000-square-foot former shoe factory turned mixed-use community space with offices, workshops and event spaces. The Idea Foundry has more than 500 members.
