Taft Museum of Art’s historic house set to reopen after yearlong, $12.7M renovation
After a year under wraps – literally – the 200-year-old building that houses the Taft Museum of Art is ready for its unveiling.
The historic house is reopening to the public June 11 after a $12.7 million structural renovation designed to maintain the proper indoor climate necessary to preserve the centuries-old treasures within. A new special exhibit, “Jane Austen: Fashion & Sensibility,” also opens June 11 and runs through Sept. 4.
