Governor’s Lake Erie trip highlights Ohio as premier fishing destination

PORT CLINTON — Officials from across Ohio joined Gov. Mike DeWine on Lake Erie on Thursday to celebrate the 42nd annual Governor’s Fish Ohio Day, highlight the state as a premier fishing destination and detail efforts to ensure a strong outdoor recreation scene.

After a morning spent on the lake, the governor joined officials from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Division of Wildlife at the Lake Erie Shores and Islands Welcome Center in Port Clinton to talk more about the importance of fishing in Ohio.
