WAVERLY― Lake White, known to some as one of the crowned jewels of Pike County, now has a place for boaters to learn about recreation and safety. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) recently officially opened the new Boater Education Center at Lake White State Park.
“Lake White is a treasure to so many people in the community, and this new center will help more of them safely enjoy it,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz. “I am so excited to open this place where people can learn to love the water and I hope it will draw even more families, groups of friends, and young people to the park.”
