About 150 miles from Pittsburgh, Marietta, Ohio, sits at the confluence of the Ohio and Muskingum rivers. Those waterways are essential to the city’s history, which is now home to approximately 13,500 people. Once the lifeblood of industry, contemporary Marietta’s riverbanks are lined with well-kept parks, bike and walking trails, and historical markers galore. The city’s main drag, Front Street, is the place to shop.
