TechOhio Startup Creativity Challenge – Official Rules
These Terms and Conditions govern the TechOhio Startup Creativity Challenge contest. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is a prerequisite to entering the contest and entrants must observe these Terms and Conditions always.
The TechOhio Startup Creativity Challenge shines a spotlight on the creative problem-solving ability of Ohio’s startup and small business community. Three judges from that community, not TechOhio, will determine the winner by ranking their top submissions. One statewide winner will be awarded coverage across TechOhio-controlled properties, including an article and high-quality video about the company, as well as bragging rights for the year! Select runners-up will also be featured in a compilation article. The TechOhio Startup Creativity Challenge will take place in a single phase from May 24, 2021 – June 18, 2021 when a winner is announced. Companies participating must be based in the state of Ohio.
The submission process and the rules associated are listed below:
Nominations: May 24, 2021 – June 4, 2021
The nomination phase is the period where Ohio startups, employees and other parties can nominate a company and idea for the TechOhio Startup Creativity Challenge. Only one nomination must be submitted for a company and idea to be in contention. Some information will be included with submission to give judges and TechOhio content creators context for the idea and company.
The nomination period will begin on May 24, 2021 at 9 a.m. ET. To nominate a company, this information will be needed:
- Company name
- Year founded
- Description of creative solution and problem
- Applications of technology
- Why do you think you should win this competition?
- Is there additional information we should know?
- Photo/video of technology or company (for social purposes)
